The FIA GT1 World Championship – The Battle of the Brands

The Battle of the Brands returned to Yas Marina Circuit for the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship series opener. After a spirited 2010 inaugural race season, Yas Marina Circuit partnered up with the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show this year for an exhilarating race weekend featuring the world’s most iconic car brands including Ford, Lamborghini, Nissan and Aston Martin. 

At the pinnacle of sports car racing, the FIA GT1 World Championship is one of only four FIA-sanctioned World Championship race series showcasing the world’s most luxurious cars. The Aston Martin DB9, Lamborghini Murciélago R-SV, Ford GT and Nissan GTR were all competing in this motor racing showdown. The on-track action, combined with all the entertainment and family fun off the track, made it a weekend to remember!
